In the recent Westminster Hall debate on Port of Liverpool access, former Transport Minister Karl McCartney revealed that National Highways is working closely with the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority on the matter.
He also suggested that compromises may need to be made.
We wanted to follow this up with our Metro Mayor, Steve Rotheram, to build on the positive intervention he made on this issue earlier in the year and to restate our position on the road proposal.
