THEROUTE

Over the coming weeks we will be constantly updating this page of the website with what we know, and what we’re told, about the proposed route of the planned A5036 Port of Liverpool Access Scheme.

As you may know, Highways England’s ‘preferred solution’ – despite the views and preferences of the public during their own consultation events -  is a dual two-lane standard which would follow the new A5758 from Switch Island to Netherton, then run south-west through Rimrose Valley Country Park to rejoin the existing A5036 at a new signalised junction at Seaforth and Litherland Station.

This of course, means several miles of new dual carriageway to be built through parkland.

Please watch this space, and this page, as we add more detail and specifics as and when we know about them.
